Original Oil Paintings and Photograpy

In 2008 my husband gave me a set of oil paints for Christmas.  I took a painting class at a local college in which they required us to paint a photograph of our choosing.  I had taken a photograph of the local Ruby Mountains and set myself to the task of painting it.  When I had finished, I stood amazed at how it looked like the photograph.  I entered that painting, God's Country (pictured below), in the local County Fair.  It took second place but I received several calls inquiring if they could purchase the painting!  So I started painting for profit!

I named my art business Designed by God, Painted by Genny because of that first painting.  I know many artists create beautiful paintings from their imagination, but I paint what I see.  Things that are Designed by God that I just happen to paint!
